Hello all\nand welcome to Week #5 of our course!<\/span><\/p>\n\n I hope you are\nhaving a good start to the week and are looking forward to our exciting week\nahead! It has been great to see the activity going on over the past week with\nVisual Networking Maps in the blogs. Please continue to read and comment on\nblogs throughout the coming week, especially if you have not had a chance to comment\non peer blogs yet. Reading the idea of others engaged in the same readings is\ngreat way to sort and consolidate our own learning and a key part of learning through\nonline networks.<\/span><\/p>\n\n As you will\nall no doubt be meeting with your teams to prepare for\u00a0<\/span>Assignment\n2 \u2013 the debate<\/span><\/b><\/a>,\nI thought I would send along a few tips and resources from previous students in\ncase they are helpful in your plotting and planning.<\/span><\/p>\n\n As outlined\nin our course\u00a0<\/span>Schedule<\/span><\/b><\/a>, the debate starts with the\u00a0initial\narguments being posted May 11\u00a0<\/b>and runs through till May 18.\u00a0The\nthreads for the initial arguments have been created in the <\/span>Moodle discussion forum<\/span><\/a>, and I will send out a note to\nremind everyone of the official debate kick-off next Monday morning.<\/span><\/p>\n\n In terms of\nyour tasks leading up to the debate, they are to:<\/span><\/p>\n\n 1. Complete\nthe Unit 3 readings\u00a0so you are prepared to for the debate<\/span><\/p>\n\n 2. Meet\nwith your team (likely more than once) to prepare for the debate according to\nthe group you are assigned. Make use of your team agreements and the work you\nhave already completed with our team coach as you complete the various stages\nof the debate, including the peer evaluation.\u00a0There are also some great\nresources here from our team coaches that you might find useful as you get\nmoving in your teams at\u00a0<\/span>https:\/\/teamwork.royalroads.ca\/<\/span><\/b><\/a>. Also, you may wish to\u00a0<\/span>view this feedback video from MindTools<\/span><\/b><\/a>, which discusses key tips on how to give\nfeedback to your team members.<\/span><\/p>\n\n 3.
