A gentle reminder that as with all LRNT courses, you are expected to incorporate APA standards for citations, formatting, and references and to back up your writing with evidence and appropriate academic literature as necessary. You are required to pay attention to grammar and clarity and to avoid colloquialisms. References are not included in the assignment word count. Also, don\u2019t forget the numerous resources available to you as you build your competence and fluency with APA formatting and writing style. In particular, check out the RRU APA 7 formatting checklists<\/a> as well as RRU WriteAnswers<\/a> where you can ask your APA questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Purpose<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the course, you will engage in a variety of synchronous and asynchronous activities, including authoring blog posts and sharing your learning with peers during synchronous Community Reflections<\/strong>. Topics for our community reflections will be introduced at our Weeks 2, 4, 7, and 9 synchronous community reflection sessions. Community reflections allow us to reflect together on course topics; students who cannot attend may instead respond to the reflection topic on their blog to earn the associated 3% learner contribution mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Contribution to the Learning Community component of your grade recognizes your active engagement in course learning activities, including contributions to your blog and participation in community reflections through synchronous sessions or asynchronous sharing opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your learning contributions will be formally assessed in Weeks 1, 2, 4, 7, and 9. Each designated activity is worth 3%, for a total of 15% of your final grade. Assessment is based on completing the designated learning contribution, not the quality of your reflections or the format you use to participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
