Hello Everyone,

Please accept my sincere apology for the concerns and stress around your grades for LRNT527. I misunderstood the options related to final grades and my grading processes and walked down an unnecessary path. Much care has been taken over the past couple of days in conversations about what to do and how to restore your confidence in me and in the program. I have learned more about the policies and intentions of the current design of graduate grading criteria at the University. Your feedback and concerns have been heard and considered. The decision that was agreed upon between myself and Dr. Childs was to restore your grades to the course completion, August 15 levels. I look forward to future conversations with colleagues about the rich tapestry of research and critical thinking related to grades and grading. You are likely to see these types of conversations in your own education-related work and in readings by leading post-secondary writers. I hope that your experience in your next course is less bumpy. All the best for a calm and successful fall session.
