Hello, All,
We will hold the next class Zoom session this Sunday at 9:30-11 Am PST. I will introduce Unit 3, and also offer a session on tips and tricks for finding the research articles you need. Last Zoom session, Ron, Claire and I workshopped Ron's research using Google Scholar, and I received feedback that the process I outlined was helpful and likely would be of interest to the whole class.
Some notes:
- The session will be recorded. Apologies for the Sunday morning timing! I am in the north, and will be off grid for much of the week. This is a time when I know I will be somewhere with stable internet. (I am teaching all summer, and this is the only window to see my son in the North. Thank you for your understanding.)
- Don't feel obligated for the full 90 minutes. I realize 90 minutes is long. I will cover all core content upfront, in the beginning, and you should feel comfortable leaving, as your time allows. I am scheduling for 90 minutes, so if we are having useful conversations, we don't need to cut it short.
- With the "finding the research articles you need," I will share my own process. I am not sure if these processes are "standard" or "normal"--but it's worked for me, in terms of finding the research I need to get my arms around a new topic.
I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday! Amy
