Overview
For this assignment you will draft your methodology and methods, identify limitations and delimitations of your proposed research, and include the other relevant sections identified within the template. You will continue to work in your proposal template, updating pertinent information so that when you submit Assignment 3, you are submitting a complete proposal.
This section/chapter of your template should be laid out as follows:
- A sub-section titled Methodology. Please start this section with a sentence such as the following ….. The proposed research will be conducted by using a systematic literature review and includes a small number of interviews as part of the data collection (for those undertaking the applied research project) OR …. The proposed research will be conducted using a modified action research approach as its methodology (for those undertaking the digital research consulting project). You will then provide a summary of how you understand the methodology (with references).
- A sub-section titled Methods. Please start with a sentence or two that outlines your understanding of the difference between qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods research (with references) and state which your proposed research is. The rest of the methods sub-section is where you describe your methods — the HOW/WHAT of what you will do (including all of the data you will gather – articles, chapters, documents, interviews – and how you will analyze it). The methods section will contain the bulk of your work for this assignment and must provide full details of your proposed plan to undertake your research project. It should include distinct subsections for data collection and for data analysis.
- You will also include other relevant sub-sections as per the Details to include in a Proposal in the following order identified earlier in the course, including appropriate references for terminology such as limitations and delimitations.
This assignment is expected to be 1,000-1,750 words, and is worth 30% of your final grade. You are expected to adhere to APA standards for citations and references, to back up your statements with appropriate academic literature, and to expand your list of references. Please note that you can add additional supplemental information in an appendix – the appendix does not count towards your word count
Value: 30%
