I hope this note finds you having a great week and enjoying immersing yourselves in the Great Media Debate ;)
I just wanted to provide you with an update on the A1 marking. I am thoroughly enjoying your A1 blog posts and will be uploading my feedback which I did via audio into Moodle over the next few days. By way of a gentle reminder, in the MALAT program and with LRNT courses, it is the SET grading scale that is used which is directly aligned with the RRU graduate grading scale. As always, please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
I also wanted to share two products that I co-created with Claude.ai Opus 5. One is something I have wanted to do for ages, a compilation of the main themes of the blog posts so you can see what these amazing humans we have been introduced to have in common and alos what this cohort has highlighted in this space.
I worked with Claude.ai to co-create this ppt summaryand have reviewed and edited it based on my reading of your blog posts. As always, if you spot any errors please highlight them for us. The second attachment is one that Claude.ai prompted me to consider, a summary sheet + discussion questions for a tutorial. Now, I know we don't "have" that in our course but I thought well, let's try it and see what comes back. I then worked with what came back and edited the prompts to be in keeping with our overall learning outcomes of the course and the focus of the assignment.
I am sharing these here for two reasons: (1) in case any of you want to explore this and push your thinking further, and (2) as an example of a way that an assignment activity can be extended and expanded in case that is of interest. I would love to hear your feedback on these two pieces if you do dive into them and of course, I also realize that cognitive load is real and this course is already full so if this doesn't make it to your "to do" list now that is just fine. Maybe it will be in the future. As with all of this, it is a great place to test the "just because you can does it mean you should?" question - ha!
